Install Firebird Server

Firebird Server is required for the CarStore database. If it is not installed or the version is below 2.5, install the appropriate server.

First launch

When CarStore starts for the first time:

  • enter ADMIN in the Username field
  • leave the Password field empty
  • click OK
Trial version

The trial version lets you explore the main features of CarStore before purchasing, with the following limitations:

  • usage period — 30 days
  • fiscal POS module unavailable
  • supplier data import unavailable
Multi-computer (LAN) setup

CarStore supports simultaneous use on multiple computers via a shared database over a local network, as well as remote access between stores, warehouses, and off-site users via the Internet.

Configure the server
  • create a folder, e.g. D:\BAZA
  • place the database file there, e.g. DB.GDB
  • install Firebird Server

Configure client computers

In the connection window click Settings and enter:

Server name: SERVER
Database path: D:\BAZA\DB.GDB

Verify the connection
  • Firebird Server is running
  • port 3050 is open
  • Windows Firewall is not blocking the connection
